4 Fun Ways to Memorize the Bible with Your Kids

If you're looking for some great new habits for your family this year, spending more time in God's Word is a great one to start with. Getting your children into the Bible is so important for their spiritual growth. Today Shelly Calcagno joins Carey Nieuwhof and shares some fun ideas to get your children excited about scripture.

Bible Bundles

Find some key scripture verses and write them out on extra large popsicle sticks. Tie them up into bundles and encourage children to and try to put the verses in order. Keep them somewhere where they will get lots of use!

Scripture Verse Display

Each week, pick a new verse for your family to learn. Write them out on cards and hang up where everyone can see them. During the week try different things like mixing them up, removing some of the words, taking them all off - and then have children put them back in order.

Bible Puzzles

Purchase some inexpensive puzzles and put them together with the blank side up. Write a Bible verse on the back of the puzzle then take it apart. Children will have fun putting the verse puzzles back together.

Bible Blocks

Use blocks to teach Bible verses and the book of the Bible. On little blocks, write out the books of the Old and New Testament. Keep them in a container where children can access anytime and try to put together in order. Get some removable stickers for larger blocks and use them for key Bible verses.

Dear God, sometimes my "testing" season seems so long. Please give me courage to endure until the end. Help me not to bail! You said you would bless me for hanging in there - I will not give up on you or your promises. You are with me and will see me through this trial.
