When it comes to prayer it is easy to struggle with patience, we don't want to wait.
Some people wait 20 years for a prayer request to be answered or for a vision to come to pass.
Sometimes we pray and God doesn't give us the answer right away, and we wonder where God is, why He isn't answering us.
We make the mistake that because God delays, that means He is saying NO.
A delay is not necessarily a NO; it is a delay.
We have to understand how God operates and how God exists.
Here on this earth we live inside of space and time. We see life as one linear moment.
God doesn't exist only in 2016, He doesn't exist just on this day in history. God exists outside of that. He sees the beginning, the middle, and the end.
Sometimes when we pray and He doesn't answer us right away. It's not because He doesn't want to, it's because He is waiting. He is pushing us; He is directing us. He is making minor course corrections to send us exactly where he wants us to go.
His ways our higher than our ways. We need to be happy about that.
His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
We need to come to that conclusion and understand that delays don't mean no. We need to not get ahead of God. When we get ahead of God we are on our own. We lose the walls of protection.
When we seek Him with all of our heart we find Him.
Nehemiah spent 4 months is prayer talking to God and listening to God and he needed every ounce of courage he could summon in order to present his bold request to the King.
When we have something big we have to do, we need to muster every ounce of wisdom and time with God. To be filled with His courage and boldness.
