"He always make you feel like you are the most important person in the world…" says Dr. Lon Allison, Pastor/Hon. Director of the Billy Graham Center in Wheaton College. While Dr. Allison do not know Rev. Billy Graham well, he felt like he had just lost his spiritual grandfather.
After spending hundreds of hours in the archives to write Billy Graham's latest biography, Dr. Allison thinks that Billy Graham would want to be remembered for not wanting to be remembered. Billy Graham never understood why people would want to give him attention. He knew that it was all about Jesus Christ doing His work through him.
Billy Graham was a man of incredible faith, vision and leadership. Yet, these were all built upon that foundation of humility he had in him.
He was an entrepreneur. He established crusade evangelism in such a way that it will go worldwide. Then Billy pioneered the use of television for evangelism purposes. After that he moved on to film, making movies of people who need Jesus in their lives. He also started a publication about who Jesus is that is followed by an academic side to it for the people who want to think deeper into the issue.
Everywhere Billy Graham went, innovations followed.
