In the life of Daniel, you find that he made really great choices for his career. It started when he was just a kid, kind of a teenager as he was taken into the Babylonian kingdom as a Jewish child. He was nurtured, if you will propagandized by the Babylonian kingdom, and yet when the press was on, when he really had to make a decision between the God of Heaven and the God's of Babylon he determined in Daniel 1:6, that he would not defile himself.
He purposed in his heart, he made up his mind to be true to the God of Heaven. How important it was for him, to make that decision, which led later in his life to another good decision, and another good decision, and another.
The best leaders, make good decisions today and then they manage those decisions well tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.
Daniel made wise choices, and as a result coupled with prayer, and a determination to be the best in whatever it was, or arena God put him in. All of that together made this man one of the most influential leaders. Someone who worshiped the true God of Heaven in the most secular state of his time.
Dare to be a Daniel.
Dare to be a man or women of prayer in an increasingly secular society, and watch what God will do with you.
