It's been said that, "God's voice is still and quiet and easily buried under an avalanche of clamour." So how do we HEAR from God? Author Linda Evans Shepherd shares her own journey in regards to prayers and listening for God's voice here with Ron and Ann.
When Linda's daughter was only 18 months old, she was thrown onto the highway due to a violent car crash. She spent the next year 'sleeping', or as the doctors said, she was a vegetable and that she would never wake up again. Yet miraculously, at the moment when her baby brother was put into her arms a year later, she opened up her eyes! Linda strongly believes that her daughter spent that year with the Lord.
During that year, all Linda can do is to call out to God. She was paralyzed with grief and shock that such a thing happened. Looking back now, she could see that God was with her throughout that season. She could see the victory and joy in the journey.
It was because of the fact that she started pressing into God, Linda learned to draw closer to Him through prayers and reading of the word.
