God really does forgive sin.
We, as humans, have a problem. We have a sin issue.
But it doesn't stop there. There is a plan - a plan for redemption and salvation.
Not only does God forgive us, there is also no condemnation, no guilt and no shame because of anything that we have done.
When God forgives us, He completely removes our sin, as far as the east is to the west. What's more, God does not remember them at all!
That is our fresh start, our new beginning!
Many of us are familiar with Joyce Meyer's story - how her dad had sexually abused her when she was younger. He did not recognize the fact that he had done it until Joyce was about 60 years old.
That was when he actually said to her, "I'm sorry for what I did to you."
That was also when she finally had the opportunity to lead him to the Lord.
All the years of abuse that Joyce had suffered, all the people that he had made miserable or whose lives had been ruined because of him - all these are wiped away instantly!
Why? Because he asked for forgiveness and said, "I believe. I want God in my life. I'm sorry."
All sin is totally washed away.
That is the amazing grace of God.
Where sin does abound, grace does much more abound. (Rom 5:20)
