Importance of Sharing Life with Friends

When Judy Brown lost her husband back in 2005, she realised the importance and value of the friends and family. It was the words from Moira, her sister-in-law, that comforted her in those dark times. She said, "Judy, you can cry as much as you like, but don't cry alone..."

Words well-said.

Truly, in our life journey, there will be ups and downs. While it is great to share everything with your spouse, there will also be times where you need the encouragement of friends. There will be times where your spouse may not be able to be there for you. These are the times where you will need the support of friends.

And the opposite is true too.  Perhaps you know someone who is struggling right now, or maybe someone who needs a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. It's time to make that phone call and simply say, "I'm here for you."

Tell your friends how much you appreciate them. If there are some relationships that you have regrettably neglected or lost touch with, reach out to them once again. It's never too late.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." - Ecclesiastes 4:9

Dear God, sometimes my "testing" season seems so long. Please give me courage to endure until the end. Help me not to bail! You said you would bless me for hanging in there - I will not give up on you or your promises. You are with me and will see me through this trial.
