Jason and Cheryl Neal never thought having biological children would be a problem. But when the doctors told them they had a "zero" percent chance, it was shocking. She said to her husband Jason,"I know about God, he loves zero. As a children's pastor, Cheryl received prayer from the kids at church believing if God was going to hear someone's prayers, it would be their prayers. God eventually moved Jason's heart (since he had no desire to adopt or foster a child). They adopted Connor and Jackson a year apart. They love their two sons so much. Jason says, "You could ask me today would you rather have biological kids or adopted … I love my kids. They're my kids. Whether they're adopted, biological. I don't even think about that." Cheryl adds, "I didn't rescue anyone. God rescued them. He chose to give them to us. But those two boys rescued me. They rescued my husband and I from loneliness and sadness."
