Moses Bird grew up in a small northern reserve. He discovered his passion was to play hockey as a child and worked hard in hopes that one day he would make the big leagues. Recruiters discovered his talent and offered him an opportunity to train. His father however didn't approve and said no, thus crushing his dream.

Moses turned to alcohol and drugs to deal with the pain. He sold drugs all throughout the north. He eventually got married at 21 and at 22 had marriage problems. His drinking and drugs got so bad that his wife told him he needed to choose drugs or his family. Hopelessness overwhelmed him to the point of contemplating suicide. He heard a voice from heaven say to him "give me a chance, I'll change your life around." That voice caused him to sober up and change his life. Now he's doing ministry in the north!

Dear God, sometimes my "testing" season seems so long. Please give me courage to endure until the end. Help me not to bail! You said you would bless me for hanging in there - I will not give up on you or your promises. You are with me and will see me through this trial.
