New Year Reflections on Witness With John Hull

Hello 2015! With another new year under our belts, we, as an organization, are overwhelmed with gratitude at how God has truly blessed Crossroads.  With media as our platform, we are able to reach and share the Love of Jesus Christ with over 1 million people each week across Canada, and multiplied millions around the world.

The theme for the month of January on 100 Huntley Street is 10,000 Reasons to Witness. As Christians, we know what it means to witness to someone; sharing the amazing story of Jesus' sacrifice providing man's redemption.

While looking up in the dictionary the word witness and its deeper meaning, the definition struck me a bit. Witness: one who gives evidence, one who has a personal knowledge of something.

That is how we've understood the traditional meaning of the word.  And now, as we consider it through the lens of describing a life surrendered to Jesus, we realize there is no better use for that word.  We, as believers, are the witnesses to the total life transformation that Jesus provides.  Every day, our very lives reflect the hope offered to mankind through the message of the Cross.

This is what we strive to express at Crossroads, and especially on 100 Huntley Street. Every day we share candid, personal, first-hand stories that witness of God's transformational power in lives, both physically and spiritually.  Even those who tune in by simply flipping through the channels are exposed to the life-giving message of the Cross.  And we celebrate the fact that in just 10 short months, we will air our 10,000th episode of 100 Huntley Street.  A milestone celebrated for the glory of God as we keep moving forward as His witnesses!

Thank you for being a part of 100 Huntley Street and Crossroads. We thank God for your prayers AND support.

Your friend,

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be My witnesses, telling people about Me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NLT)

Dear God, sometimes my "testing" season seems so long. Please give me courage to endure until the end. Help me not to bail! You said you would bless me for hanging in there - I will not give up on you or your promises. You are with me and will see me through this trial.
