Back in November 2013, Daniel Pigeon has a chance to go to a refugee camp in Western Sahara. He was there for a peace dialogue between Muslims and Christians. The whole experience really touched his heart and he decided that he wants to raise awareness for the cause.
When he got back to Canada, Daniel felt that he was supposed to do something, but he didn't know what it was. After a period of fasting and praying for the first time, he had an idea to ride his bike. However, he did not tell anyone about it initially because he wanted to test it and make sure that it was something that he needed to do. So he started training for it secretly.
When everything went smoothly with the training, he started telling people about it and was able to pray with people about it too. Someone donated the bike to him and another friend gave Daniel half of his tax returns! Everyone stepped forward to support him in any way they could. Praise God!
For Daniel, he went through a season of his life where there were a lot of conflicts in his friendships and relationships. God started asking him, "What does it really mean to love in tough situations?" Therefore, through this whole journey, he has learnt what it means to follow a God who is a God of justice, mercy and grace.
