Sheila Walsh Teaches on Overcoming Shame

Author and speaker Sheila Walsh recognizes that one of the toughest things for people to overcome in their life is the issue of "Shame".

It says in Gen 2:25, "And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed." Shame was never part of the original equation in God's plan. Until that moment, when the enemy tricked them to step outside of God's plan, they were NOT ASHAMED.

It's interesting to note too that once they fell, the first thing they noticed is that they were naked and were ashamed. So they did what many of us tend to do when we feel ashamed about something - HIDE.

The first thing God did was to shed blood and clothe Adam and Eve. It's foreshadowing of His great redemption plan through His Son, Jesus. Every drop of blood through scriptures, was leading up to that moment on the cross - where He who knew no shame, became shame, so that you and I can be free.

Dear God, sometimes my "testing" season seems so long. Please give me courage to endure until the end. Help me not to bail! You said you would bless me for hanging in there - I will not give up on you or your promises. You are with me and will see me through this trial.
