It's almost Valentine's Day! Take some time this year to celebrate the ones around you that you love - and in the middle of it all don't forget about the love of Jesus. His love for you surpasses everything.
Valentines Day is also a wonderful time to make some family memories. Here are a few ideas:
Set your table in red and white. Serve red and white drinks, red and white food like spaghetti! For dessert, make red cake with white icing. Everyone can dress in red and white, and you can decorate your table in a special way. This will be a fun family celebration that your kids will ask for every year. Write out some scriptures about God's love and share them at your dinnertime. (Thanks to my friend Kristen for sharing this great idea!)
Paint up some mason jars with chalkboard paint, and then write some messages of love on the jars. Use the jars as a vase, or fill it with some special treats for someone. Fill a jar with mini-marshmallows, graham cracker cookies and red chocolate candy to make a "smores in a jar" gift! For something really cute put a cupcake in an upside down jar!
Mug cakes are so easy to make! Pick a favorite mug, look up a recipe and then make your cakes - only takes 2 minutes in the microwave. Check out our pinterest page here for some recipe ideas.
Put a large marshmallow on a straw. Melt some chocolate. Dip in the marshmallow and then add sprinkles! Super easy and super yummy.
Lay out pretzels on a cookie sheet. Add a chocolate wafer. Put them in the oven for approx. 2 minutes on 300 degrees. Pull them out and quickly add a smartie. Let them cool, then enjoy!
